Quick answer

The short version

Checked 2026-10-14.

Hood Rivals is a 30-player-server competitive shooter with seven officially named modes (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Gun Game, Ranked-as-advertised) and a community-documented eighth (Arcade). It runs four defining systems: win streaks with a purchasable recovery ladder (8–99 Robux), a global leaderboard whose TOP10/TOP100 players get a visible logo, player-to-player trading (official since the September description line), and an unusually explicit permanent-ban policy for exploiters and stat farmers. Ranked exists as an official advertisement and a reported level-40 gate; its ranks and rewards are unpublished. Map names are published nowhere.

2v2Team duelQueue with one partnerOfficially namedSnipers and long-range picks gain value with a teammate holding coverage.
3v3Team duelFull three-stackOfficially namedThe largest fixed team size — role division (entry, support, anchor) starts to matter.

Free For AllEveryone versus everyoneSoloOfficially namedNo teammates to lean on — every engagement is yours. Good for practicing third-party avoidance.
Gun GameWeapon rotationSoloOfficially namedHands you a rotating weapon set, so it is also the cheapest way to handle guns you have not unlocked.
RankedCompetitive ladderSolo (reported)Advertised; gated (reported)The description says 'Compete In RANKED !'; a September 2026 publisher guide reports queuing is locked until level 40. No official rules, ranks, or rewards have been published.
ArcadeFast-respawn casual fightsSolo or partyCommunity-documentedDocumented by a publisher guide (September 2026) as constant fights with fast respawns, and said to be the subject of a daily quest. Not named in the official description's mode line.

Undocumented for every mode: scoring rules, time limits, spawn logic, matchmaking brackets, and per-mode rewards. The modes guide and chooser turns this table into a queue decision.

Systems

The systems that define the game

Sourced per entry — official description lines carry the most weight.

Win streaks (and losing them)

Official

The official description says 'Build your win streak and be the best'. A four-step recovery ladder (Small 8 / Medium 19 / Large 49 / Huge 99 Robux) has been listed since launch, which tells you streaks are meant to be breakable and purchasable back. The streak lengths, what breaks a streak, and what streaks pay are not published.

Trading

Official + Creator title

The official description now includes 'Trade cool skins or items that you own'. A mid-September 2026 creator stream title attributes a trading update (plus a movement change) to the game, and the products list shows the cosmetic inventory (skins, cases, finishers, emotes) that trading would move. Trade rules, scam protection, and any trade-level requirements are not documented.

Global leaderboard

Official

'Compete for TOP10 & TOP100 logo on a Global Leaderboard' is official text — top players get a visible logo reward. What stat ranks it (kills, wins, streaks) is not stated.

Ban policy

Official

The description warns that 'Exploiters, glitch abusers, and stat farmers get permanently banned. No warnings, no appeals.' This is unusually explicit for a Roblox shooter and matters for farming advice: killing idle accounts or farming stats with friends is officially punishable, not a gray area.

Servers and platforms

Official

Servers cap at 30 players and the description says all platforms are supported, so PC, console, and mobile players share the same queues.

Ranked

Advertised, gated, and otherwise unpublished

Official

The official description advertises 'Compete In RANKED !' and has since launch; the August title briefly carried a [RANKED 🏆] tag.

Community-documented

A September 2026 publisher guide (allthings.how) reports that Ranked queuing is gated behind reaching level 40 — queue earlier and the game returns a level requirement message. A September gameplay creator (MiniBloxia) says the same.

Unpublished

Ranks, MMR, rewards, seasons, and party rules for Ranked are unpublished. The site treats the level-40 gate as community-documented, not official.

What no public source provides

Map names and layouts; per-mode scoring, time limits, and rewards; matchmaking rules; Ranked ranks, MMR, seasons, and party rules; streak lengths and payouts; and the XP curve behind levels. Hood Rivals has shipped five-plus updates in September 2026 alone without a single patch note — so these gaps are developer policy, not a research failure. This page rechecks the official description after every update stamp the updates page records.

FAQ

System questions

What modes does Hood Rivals have?

Seven officially named: 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Gun Game, and an advertised Ranked. A September 2026 publisher guide additionally documents an Arcade mode with fast respawns that a daily quest references. Scoring rules, time limits, and map names are not published for any mode.

How does Ranked work in Hood Rivals?

Officially, almost nothing is published: the description says 'Compete In RANKED !' and the August title briefly carried a [RANKED 🏆] tag, but no ranks, rules, or rewards exist in any official source. A September 2026 publisher guide reports the queue is gated behind level 40 — community-documented, so verify in-game.

How do win streaks work?

The official description tells you to 'Build your win streak and be the best', and the catalog has sold a four-step streak-recovery ladder (8 / 19 / 49 / 99 Robux) since launch — so streaks break and can be bought back. Streak lengths, what resets one, and what streaks pay are undocumented.

What are the maps called?

No map names are published in any official or community source checked for this page. The publisher guide references map situations (open sightlines favoring the R700, corners punishing snipers) but names no maps. This page keeps 'maps' in its title as the honest placeholder until names surface.

What gets you banned in Hood Rivals?

The official description is explicit: 'Exploiters, glitch abusers, and stat farmers get permanently banned. No warnings, no appeals.' That is a stricter, clearer policy than most Roblox shooters publish — and it makes kill-trading or boost farming a permanent-ban risk rather than a gray area.
